About Duplantis

DuPlantis began as a heartfelt dream rooted in a deep love for gardening. After Dr. Damaris was unexpectedly laid off, she found herself seeking comfort and clarity in the most natural way—by reconnecting with the earth.  With her hands in the soil and a seed in the ground she rediscovered peace and purpose through nurturing life.

A year prior, Dr. Damaris had taken a Kokedama class, and the plant she created was still thriving. She reached out to the instructor, only to discover they were ready to pass the torch. Their connection was instant, and Dr. Damaris stepped into a new role—teaching others how to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with themselves through the grounding practice of plant care. There’s real science behind it too—studies show that working with soil can stimulate the release of serotonin, bringing a sense of joy and relaxation.
